Roheline Kohvik on meie pere lugu: New Yorki kohvigurmaanlusest Viljandi vaikusesse

Juba 15 aastat oleme Viljandi südames pidanud väikest mahekohvikut - Rohelise Maja Pood ja Kohvik. 

Kui avasime polnud “mahetoit” veel samasugune trend, nagu täna, kuid uskusime, et see on ainus viis kuidas igale külalisele pakkuda parimat, mis meil on.

Et ka meie kohvi kvaliteet oleks tipp-tasemel, ostsime 8 aastat tagasi oma röstimismasina. See oli algus Rohelise maja röstikojale, kus värskelt röstitud ubadega kohvipakid tulevad riiulitele iga nädal. Mahedad ja puhtalt kasvatatud oad tulevad artisan-väiketootajatelt.

Sel hooajal röstime peamiselt Kesk- ja Lõuna-Ameerika ube: Honduras, Nikaraagua, Mehhiko, Guatemala, Kolumbia ja Peru. Samuti on meil kofeiinivabad oad Kolumbiast ja Mehhikost.

For the past 15 years we have been running a small cafe in the heart of a town in the heart of Estonia by a beautiful lake and a valley - Rohelise Maja Pood ja Kohvik. 

When we opened the cafe, “organic” was not yet a trend like today. However, we believed that it’s the only way for us - to only share the best we have.

8 years ago we also launched our own roastery and started roasting organic coffee beans from artisan specialty coffee growers. 

This season we are roasting primarily Central & South American beans: Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia & Peru, as well as decaf coffee from Columbia and Mexico.
